Jiwarajka Textile Industries (JTI) is one of the leading Polyester Manufacturing unit in Western India. The company has a processing capacity of 20,000 Metric Tonnes per annum of processing of Polyester Partially Oriented Yarn to Texturized Yarn and markets this to weavers all over India. By year ending March 2009, the Turnover of the company was Rs. 150 Crores. The company currently employs 200 people and has a reputation for being a reliable and supplier of quality products.
JTI has been in manufacturing for more than 18 years. The company is headquartered in Mumbai having its manufacturing facilities at Daman and Silvassa. These plants are undergoing ISO 9001-2008 certification.
Launched in the year 1985, Jiwarajka Textile Industries (JTI) started off with trading of yarn. After having a strong foothold in the market JTI advanced into the fabric manufacturing sector by first hiring a number of power looms. At this stage JTI was supplying yarn to its manufacturing unit and selling the fabric in the market.
In the year 1988, JTI decided to include the dealership of Petrofils Co-op Ltd under its umbrella in order to increase the profitability. Apart from using the same yarn for fabric manufacturing JTI was catering to the immense demands of the evolving textile market.
The firm has developed excellent quality standards and manufacturing capabilities and a strong customer base.
A. 1988, JTI included the dealership of Petrofils Co-op Ltd.
B. JTI took its next big step towards yarn production in the FY 1992 when JTI bought Saheli Industries (a sick unit in Daman) from Union Bank of India. This unit was also engaged in producing texturized yarn with a capacity of 500 MTPA. By the FY 1993-1994 JTI turned around Saheli Industries from a sick unit into a profit making unit. From this year JTI began its ever growing streak with an in house production capacity standing at 20,000 Metric Tonnes per annum as of today.
